Tucked on the border of Cloquet and Carlton, Whimsical Forest Adventures was born from a dream: to reconnect people of all ages to the healing magic of nature, creativity, and community. We are more than just a retreat space or children’s program — we are a forest sanctuary for souls seeking wonder, wisdom, and a place to belong.

🌿 Our Story: How It All Began

Whimsical Forest Adventures started with a vision — one rooted in the earth, nurtured by imagination, and fueled by a deep longing for meaningful connection. After years of working with children and working on my own spiritual journey, I realized something was missing in today’s world: a space that bridges both the mystical and the practical, the childlike and the sacred.

So I'm building it. One mossy trail, one painted rock, one circle of laughter at a time.

What is beginning as day camps and nature classes for local kids is also blossoming into a multi-faceted sanctuary — hosting seasonal workshops/retreats, family workshops, after-school clubs, and adult spiritual experiences that honor the cycles of the earth and the wisdom within us all.

🌱 Reconnect people to nature through playful exploration and sacred stillness.

🕯️ Hold space for healing through spiritual practices, ritual, and reflection.

🦋 Nurture imagination and creativity in both children and adults.

🌍 Honor seasonal cycles and Indigenous wisdom, especially the rhythms of the land we gather on.--This is deeply important to me as a descendant of the Indigenous Sámi of Sápmi in Northern Europe. Much of our culture has been lost over the last millennium, especially in the US and I’ve been on a healing journey to reconnect with our roots.

I created Whimsical Forest Adventures because we believe in slowing down, looking closely, and remembering who we are beneath all the noise.
